Member co-ops
Member co-ops are small enough to ensure genuine connection and responsibility, similar to home ownership. Property leases give member co-ops and their resident-members control and responsibility for upkeep and day-to-day repairs, as well as collecting rents, managing voids and arrears, and recruiting new tenant members. Each co-op can have their own identity and culture.

Rode Housing Co-op
Founded by a group of housing workers, community organisers and architects in 2020, who have known each other for many years through various housing networks. They aim to address housing precarity, enrich knowledge and self-reliance, and accommodate many different lifestyles, by providing equal sized bedrooms and communal rooms.

Elevation Mutual Housing Co-op
Formed by a group of Black Christian families struggling to make ends meet in the private rented sector. They share the belief that a house or flat is first and foremost a home and that property investment should deliver good quality, affordable and stable housing that enables people and communities to grow and flourish. They are seeking new build houses in Enfield that have struggled to sell and looking to include those in need of Temporary Accommodation.

Rising Sun Housing Co-op
Formed by a group of musicians and creatives living in a former pub, their aim is to save the building both as a home and a workspace. It contains 8 bedrooms, a self-built recording studio, rehearsal space, intimate venue and design studio which the community can use free of charge. The project wants to provide stable housing, a space for young creatives to build networks and a LGBT+ inclusive community as part of the local art and music culture.

Zahra Housing Co-op
A fully mutual co-op of 4 multi-generational Asian households in Harrow, some of whom have experienced eviction with larger families. Several generations living together can bring many benefits including help with childcare and health and wellbeing for older relatives. As private renters, they have found most properties unsuitable for larger families and are also looking for stability and security of tenure.
